PhD
PhD students whose research involves global health are invited to connect with our faculty, take part in programs and events, and contribute to the Eck Institute’s interdisciplinary community. This welcome extends to students from all colleges and departments at the University, whether or not they are Eck fellows.
Engagement with the Institute provides access to first-class training, mentorship by renowned scientists, and exciting opportunities, including the Notre Dame Global Health Case Competition and the REACT Program, which offers limited funding for certain research activities.
PhD Fellowship
Every other year, the Eck Institute awards a limited number of graduate fellowships that provide additional financial support and recognition for outstanding students. Fellowship recipients benefit from both resources and formal affiliation with the Institute while continuing to advance their disciplinary research in ways that address global health challenges. Please note: The next application is expected to open in spring of 2027.
