The Eck Institute for Global Health is dedicated to training a new generation of global health leaders and researchers, including the exceptional undergraduate students at Notre Dame.

Undergraduate students from all majors can learn how their interests connect to global health and identify ways to make an impact at various levels. Opportunities range from campus activities and local service learning initiatives to the pursuit of a global health minor, as well as engagement in global health research.

Global Health Minor

The Eck Institute for Global Health offers a 15-credit Minor in Global Health, leveraging interdisciplinary collaborations to understand the complex health needs of resource-limited populations around the world. Open to students from any major, the minor takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding and addressing health disparities worldwide. Through coursework and a capstone experience, students explore the social, political, and environmental factors that shape global health and prepare to contribute solutions rooted in equity and human dignity.

Undergraduate Global Health Courses

Faculty from the Eck Institute teach several global health (GH) courses each semester, which can be taken by students enrolled in any Notre Dame college or school. Search for "Global Health - Eck Institute" in Class Search on InsideND.
