PhD and Postdoc

PhDs

PhD students involved in the Eck Institute for Global Health (EIGH) have access to first-class training, mentorship by renowned scientists, and exciting interdisciplinary opportunities, including the Notre Dame Global Health Case Competition. Graduates have gone on to lead active federal and academic research programs in the United States.

The Institute has established a graduate student fellowship program to support students enrolled in the University of Notre Dame PhD program. Outstanding graduate students from across the University of Notre Dame who have a specific interest in global health and whose research is directed to questions that impact global health are invited to apply.

The Global Health Fellowship program for doctoral students will be on temporary hiatus for 2023. Therefore, we will not be accepting applications during the 2023/24 academic year.

Please check for updates on the program during the fall of 2024.

Postdocs

The EIGH is excited to partner with the Notre Dame Environmental Change Initiative (ND-ECI) to offer a NEW joint postdoctoral funding opportunity for outstanding PhDs pursuing research and training focused at the intersection of the environment and global health.
