“Communicating Environmental Health Science to Native Communities through Native-themed & Native-created Art” - Mallery Quetawki Lecture
Mallery Quetawki is the first ever Artist-in-Residence for the Community Environmental Health Program (CEHP) at The University of New Mexico-College of Pharmacy. At the request of CEHP’s partner communities to use more culturally appropriate visuals, Ms. Quetawki has since created acrylic paintings and digital artwork (such as above) to portray the complexities of biochemical pathways and other health related information under the scope of an Indigenous lens.
