The Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society (LFIDS) recently announced a partnership with Accenture to develop the Health Equity Data Lab which will leverage the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning to understand and solve the most intransigent healthcare challenges, specifically at the intersection of medical and social care.
Through this partnership, LFIDS invites the University of Notre Dame community to work for up to two years towards addressing obstacles that enable equitable community health and well-being. In particular, an emphasis will be placed on healthcare literacy, healthcare access disparities, precision social determinants of health, and health equity indicators in the workplace to contribute solutions to some of society’s wicked problems.
Proposers may request 1-2 graduate student salaries (commensurate with standard departmental rates) or the opportunity to recruit a co-mentored postdoctoral scholar (with LFIDS) for up to two years.
Through these proposals, LFIDS hopes to continue to serve as an intellectual hub for collaborative research with Notre Dame faculty and research scientists in order to advance data innovations for industry leaders and the communities that they serve.
