"Co-founders Nancy Brennan-Jordan '85 and Bill Jordan '85 of Let’s Share the Sun Foundation will be presenting on their work in Haiti. Let’s Share the Sun is a nonprofit based in upstate New York that focuses on bringing solar energy to the poorest parts of the world. They are currently partnering with Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education to install panels on six of their schools in Haiti. This past August they traveled with a team of volunteers to Plaisance, Haiti to install on the École Père Perard elementary school. They also have partnered with the Congregation of the Holy Cross community in Haiti. Their talk with the Center for Social Concerns will focus on sustainability, clean energy, and their solar model for schools to reduce costs and help improve quality of life."
