Nydia Morales-Soto joined the University of Notre Dame in 2011 and currently serves as Assistant Director of the Eck Institute for Global Health where she oversees interdisciplinary global health research and training efforts and programs. Nydia’s role includes project and grant development, team building and management, training, and teaching. She serves as a liaison for domestic and international global health partnerships, including those in Bangladesh, Ecuador, Kenya, and Mexico. As a microbiologist and molecular biologist, her research is primarily centered around antimicrobial resistance, seeking to translate basic laboratory research for clinical and surveillance applications.
