Katherine Taylor was formerly an Associate Director and Director of Global Health Training for the Eck Institute for Global Health prior to her retirement in December 2019. Katherine has most recently focused on training and mentoring the next generation of global health leaders. Prior to her professional work at Notre Dame, she has worked as a laboratory supervisor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Kenya Program and has served in leadership roles at the International Livestock Institute and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Katherine has also been a participant in the Institute of Medicine Forum on Public-Private Partnerships for Global Health and Safety and acted as president of the American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Committee for Global Health. She earned a Master of Science in Biology from Notre Dame and a PhD in Biology from Vrije University in Brussels, Belgium.
