Capstone Field Research

The Capstone Field Research is a unique and rewarding core component of the Master of Science in Global Health (MSGH) program. The practicum enables students to connect classroom learning and real health needs through hands-on field experience. Working with Notre Dame faculty and their partners, students have the opportunity to conceptualize and implement research that advances scholarship domestically and internationally.

During their first year within the program, students take a one-credit course each semester to adequately prepare to work on their capstone research projects during the summer. MSGH students also take one-credit courses during their second year to synthesize and analyze their data and present it in various formats (final capstone paper, poster/publication, etc.).
