Biography
Sobiech is a public health researcher and practitioner with over 20 years of experience planning, implementing, managing, and evaluating a variety of public health programs. She earned her PhD from Indiana University's School of Public Health-Bloomington while managing USAID-funded institutional capacity-building projects in Kosovo, Indonesia, and Liberia for Indiana University's Office of International Development. Sobiech is a returned Peace Corps volunteer who served in Senegal, West Africa (1996-98).

Research and Publications
Sobiech’s research aims to mobilize community engagement around the social determinants of health using community-based participatory research approaches to inquiry, implementation, and evaluation of public health interventions.
