Academic Interests: My academic activities are centered on training and mentoring the next generation of global health leaders. As the director of global health training, I have the opportunity to influence the intellectual, as well as the personal formation of students who aspire to work in the field of global health. This training is centered on the development of technical skills; understanding the inter-sectoral nature of global health problems and solution; and deepening personal values based on the ideal that all lives have equal value and that everyone has a right to health care.
