MD/MS Integrated Degree Program

About

The Eck Institute for Global Health and the Indiana University School of Medicine are offering an integrated dual degree program. This degree program allows participants to complete a joint Medical Doctor/Master of Science in Global Health (MD/MS).

This new program between the University of Notre Dame and IUSM is the first dual degree program of its type between two collaborating universities. Students in the program will take a leave of absence during their third year of medical studies to join MS in Global Health students at Notre Dame for the 12-month program. Upon completion of the MS in Global Health, students will return to their medical degree studies. When returning to their MD studies, students will be provided with the option of finishing at the IUSM-SB campus for their third and fourth years.

Who Can Apply?

Any medical student enrolled at the Indiana University School of Medicine may apply for the Master of Science in Global Health program during their first or second year of medical school. To apply for admittance to the program, interested students should apply through Notre Dame's Graduate School.
