Course Description:

The course will survey ethical and scientific issues associated with current public health problems such as pollution-induced cancers, occupational injury and death, and inadequate emphasis on disease prevention, nutrition, and environmental health.

 

Learning Goals:

This course is designed for students to understand relationships among biomedical science, ethical theory, public health; to evaluate the ethical and legal assumptions underlying these relationships; and to gain perspectives on how public-health policies-ethics affect our lives and health.
